Louise has been riding for over 15 years. She got her first horse at the age of 13, and he is still in the family today. Her second horse Toby was bought as an unbacked four year old and Louise was involved in breaking him, and this sparked her interest in training young horses.

In the time since, they have become successful in all disciplines and in particular at cross country. In 2005 the pair were awarded Best Individual Cross Country for Scotland, at the BHS cross country championship held in Uttoxeter.
